IMPORTANT SCHOOL UPDATE from Principal Garcia

Coronado High School • Coronado Middle School • Gallina Elementary

Due to the ongoing water issues and out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our students and staff, all Gallina Campus Jemez Mountain Schools students, PreK–12, will transition to virtual learning for all of next week.

Professional crews are actively working to mitigate and address the water issues. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide families with updates as more information becomes available. The health and safety of our students and staff remain our highest priority.

VIRTUAL LEARNING

Teachers will send students invitations and links to log into their virtual classrooms. Parents and guardians, please make sure your student logs in and participates each day. Attendance will be taken. Teachers will be available throughout the school day to provide instruction, assistance, and office hours for students who need additional help.

PreK teachers will communicate directly with their families regarding learning activities and support.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held virtually. Teachers will contact families to arrange conference times and provide information on how to connect.

MEAL DELIVERY

Meals will continue to be provided to our students. Food will leave the Gallina campus at 10:00 a.m. for delivery to the regular bus stops. Families should have someone available at their regular stop to receive the meals.

We understand that transitioning to virtual learning requires flexibility from our students, families, and staff. We greatly appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation while professional crews work to resolve the water issues and ensure our facilities are safe.

If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the Coronado High School/Middle School front office at 505-864-2224 or the Jemez Mountain School District Administrative Office at 575-638-5491.

We will continue to communicate updates with families throughout the week.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, and have a safe evening.
