Emergency Message for Gallina Campus

Dear Families and Students of Coronado High School, Coronado Middle School, and Galena Elementary,

We regret to inform you of the immediate cancellation of classes today, January 9, 2024, due to a potential gas smell reported within the vicinity of our schools. As a precautionary measure, the Jemez Mountain School District has decided to ensure the safety of our students and staff by canceling all classes for the remainder of the day.

Please be advised that all students are already en route back home via buses arranged by the district. We kindly request that parents or guardians be available to receive their children upon their arrival home.

Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our students and faculty. We are currently working with local authorities and utility services to investigate and resolve the situation promptly.

Updates regarding the status of classes for tomorrow will be communicated through our usual channels, including our district website and automated messaging system.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Sincerely,

JMSD
